The George and Dragon was the first site at the Uphouse Pub group, sitting at the heart of a village community. Where fine food and drinks meet great customer service, the G&D team-work to offer diners a memorable experience, with its company values sitting at the core.
BRIEF:
At the George & Dragon, my job covered a multitude of creative roles. The aim was to bring the marketing in-house and build a more unified online presence across both pubs, building responsive websites, establishing appropriate marketing channels, creating and executing campaigns, designing artwork and managing the socials, to create content closer to home.
PRINT & PHOTOGRAPHY
Work for print included leaflets, promotional collateral, posters, large outdoor banners and new menus.
A SELECTION OF IMAGES
During my time in-house, I built up a collection of photographs, used for the website, events, socials and promotions.
RESPONSIVE WEB DESIGN
A primary project was redesigning the website to make it more modern and more appropriate for the user's experience. The brief was to convert the online audience to in-person customers with an improved booking system and online menu, as well as provide a base for information and updates.
The home page is static with slides of imagery to best showcase the overall vibe of the pubs, to hopefully invite customers in.
DIGITAL & SOCIAL
Content created for emails and across our socials, showcasing our dishes, running competitions and introducing the 'behind the scene' process. Our approach was to tell a story, showcase our dishes and engage with our community, as well as reach wider audiences. Competitions and polls allowed us to better engage with our audience and share some of the ownership, an example being the introduction of the veggie breakfast bap, in response to one of our customers.
